Emerging from the company’s roots in the oil and gas sector, our Infrastructure Division developed and specialised in projects associated with Qatar’s industrial cities, focusing on the highly systemised and procedure based oil and gas business. Wastewater Treatment :
Our team has established itself as a key player the wastewater market in Qatar in preparation for the major domestic and industrial wastewater projects programmed. Our teams have undertaken the design and construction of new and upgrades to wastewater treatment plantsin Qatar, including:
• 3 MLD Dukhan Industrial City STP
• Upgrade of Qatar Gas on and off shore sewage treatment plants
• 30 MLD Upgrade to the existing Industrial Area Sewage Treatment Facility comprising:
• Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR)
• Nutrient Removal
• Ultra Filtration (UF)

Pumping Stations:
Extensive experience in the design and construction of new pumping stations and upgrades has demonstrated ALPHANR’s expertise and proficiency in the delivery over a wide range of pumping sizes handling media: sewage, ground and surface water, treated sewage effluent and potable water. Our clients include Ashghal (Public Works Authority) Kahramaa (Qatar Water and Electricity Corporation), Ministry of Defence, the Emiri Guard and Qatar Petroleum (QP).
Refurbishing and Upgrading Works at Various Pumping Stations – 3 No. pumping
station and two rising mains as follows:
• PS 17: 250 l/s 2 km 450 dia. DI forced main
• PS W1: 840 l/s 8.0 km of twin and 3.5 km of triple 500 dia. DI forced main, total pipework length of 26.5 km
• PS 40: 1,000 l/s
Challenging projects ALPHANR have taken on include:
Upgrading of Umm Salal Water Station – Design, construct and commission new pumping station at a site to supply distribution network. The works comprised:
• Pump house and control building
• Electromechanical work
• 4 No 450 l/s VFD pumps
• 12 km of 1,200, 900, 600 and 400 dia. DI rising mains.
• Chamber construction
• Power and control cabling
• Instrumentation and control system, including SCADA interface
• Hydraulic study for Umm Salal piping, pumping and reservoir systems
• Surge and transient analysis and protection

Reservoirs and Tanks
Our team has all the skills, experience and equipment required to construct a wide range of reservoirs and tanks, through design and build and traditional contracts. These are constructed as standalone projects or as part of other major civil works.
Our clients include Ashghal (Public Works Authority), Qatar Armed Forces, Qatar Petroleum (QP) and the Emiri Guard.
Our team has developed the key skills required to deliver water retaining concrete structures to the highest standard interfacing with electro-mechanical works and meeting the hydraulic performance requirements. ALPHANR is ready to take on reservoir and tank works on the major Qatari works programmes.
Industrial Civil
With its origins in the oil and gas business, almost all of ALPHANR’s business systems have been developed to ensure consistent delivery of successful projects in this precise and demanding environment. Accordingly, ALPHANR has been particularly well positioned in the market to expand into Industrial Civil. Our primary focus in this market sector is the industrial development of green and brown field sites within Qatar’s Industrial Cities.
Our team has the knowledge, experience and ability to compete in these markets where the customer is more demanding and better understands the benefits of higher quality build and safety standards. ALPHANR has undertaken a number of prestigious projects either on its own, or as a partner to some of the most reputable international construction companies.
Reticulation Networks :
Our team are expert in the field of trench excavation and piping networks being arguably the leading Qatari contractor in this field. Combined with our experience inmicrotunneling, we are uniquely placed to deliver, and have experience in, reticulation projects both in the developed urban environment and the undeveloped areas of Qatar.
ALPHANR has installed hundreds of kilometres of pipeline for major clients in Qatar including Ashghal (Public Works Authority), Kahramaa (Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation), Qatar Petroleum (QP) and the Private Engineering Office (PEO).

Electro-mechanical
With its origins in the oil and gas business, Our team has developed an electro-mechanical business dedicated to infrastructure works that undertakes full electro-mechanical works for pumping stations, substations and electrical distribution works.
Our clients include Ashghal (Public Works Authority), Kahramaa (Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation) and the Private Engineering Office.
